Did I mention I saw a robin on Monday? I was cruising through Lake George en route to Glens Falls and it flew across the road in front (barely) of my car. First robin of the season. It'll be hard-pressed to find worms under 2' of snow!
Down here in Saratoga/Warren Counties the robins have been around all winter. They travel in flocks and feed on sumac, crabapples, and other fruit trees. We see occasional bluebirds all winter too. Has this always been so, or is it global warming? I've lived here 40 years and it seems these sightings are only in recent years.
