Hannah's Plants - Mystery Solved

First and foremost, many thanks to my friend Evelyn for positively identifying the mystery plant from last week. Hannah went back in over the weekend and got these shots of it in bloom. We then scoured the field guides and the internet, looking for a positive ID, and what we found was Spotted (or Large) Coralroot (Corallorhiza maculata), BUT - it blooms in July. So, I sent copies to Evelyn who promptly said that it is indeed Spotted Coralroot, and it is early.

Hannah also got this lovely photo of a Large-flowered Trillium (Trillium grandiflorum), in the "turning pink" stage. I've never seen this up here before, so it was a real treat.
