Right. This was taken two days ago, and we've had nothing but rain, rain, rain since. I don't know too many sailors who prefer to sail in torrential downpours.
Still, it was a lovely sunset. Dare I say spectacular?
I think it's not pollution that ruined it, but the direction from where the rain showed up. I think that the red sunset is a reflection of dust particles - and dry air - in the west. Weather usually moves west to east. Last week's rain came from the south, which is unusual. So don't despair, it usually works (just never go sailing without foul weather gear!).
Yes, that is a beautiful sunset and a beautiful capture of it. Pollution has ruined that saying. Otherwise it is true.
